About Us
Woof 'n Wag Pet Care is a loving, caring place to leave your pets when you need to be away. We understand how much pet parents love and adore their pets, and we strive to offer the best possible care for each and every pet, regardless of breed, age, or temperament.

A little bit about the owner:
My name is Christy. I am an experienced horse-woman and animal caretaker. I have a B.S. degree from Wilmington College, Ohio, with concentrations in Equine Science and Animal Science. I'm also working on an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. I have worked with animals in many different facets, including: worked at a pet store, volunteered at several kennels and rescues, and worked at several horse barns, managing over twenty horses at a time. I, along with my husband, have been pet sitting and dog walking for fifteen years, but this particular business for over 10 years.
My husband and I have two children: a little boy who is 4 years old, and a 9 year old daughter. We have had many pets in the past because we used to live on a farm, but currently own one 8 year old, spayed, border collie cross named Mia; a 12 month old neutered Catahoula Leopard Dog named Finn; and a spayed female cat named Arwen. We also have chickens and ducks. I am a stay-at-home-mom, and homeschool, so the pets in our care are very rarely left alone.
Between us, we have owned and/or cared for: dogs of various breeds, ages, and sizes; birds; cats; chickens; horses; cows; sheep; goats; rats; chinchillas; ferrets; guinea pigs; rabbits; fish; and more!
A little bit about the business:
Woof 'N Wag Pet Care as it is now has been running since 2015, although we have been running a pet sitting business for over ten years in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. We took a break in late 2013 due to a move an hour away from our old home, a difficult pregnancy, then a newborn. We decided to re-name the business and start over in our new town of Sidney, Ohio, in January 2015. In early February of 2017, our family relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, for my husband's job. And here we are now!
The focus of Woof 'N Wag Pet Care is to make the pets feel as if they are still at home, even though they may be in a new and different environment. The goal is to transition the pets with as little stress as possible. This means that we try very hard to follow the routines your pets are used to. For example, if your dog is used to sleeping in the bed with you at night, he or she will sleep with us at night. If your dog is used to sleeping in a kennel, we can accommodate that, as well. If your dog loves walks, we will walk him or her daily. If your dog hates walks, we will stick to the back yard. We ask that the pet parents provide the dog food so the pets stay on their same diet. We also allow special toys, beds, blankets, or anything else that you, the pet parent, feels would make your pet more comfortable in our home. We do, of course, have toys and beds they are welcome to use as well.
The same goes for pets who we visit in their own homes. We follow your routine, and try to make the pets feel as if their pet parent is still home. Some pet parents need someone to walk their dog(s) daily because they work long days; other pet parents need someone to visit two or three times daily because they are out of town on business or vacation. We are here to help with whatever you need to keep your pet(s) happy and healthy!
